Denim Sale at Barneys CO-OP, and How Jenn Hobby Shops

Not enough good sales are discussed these days. At least, not in my circle. But you should know about a major one going down at Barneys CO-OP Atlanta, which is having a big 20 percent off denim sale through August 29. It’s for both guys and gals. In conjunction with the sale event, they’ve released “Denim Delight: 3-D” – A special Barneys CO-OP national direct mail piece (color catalog) shot in 3-D with 3-D glasses included. Customers can pick up their glasses at CO-OP in Phipps Plaza or get them for free online.

The popular store known for its denim selection (think Citizens of Humanity, Acne, Raleigh Denim, EVISU, Helmut Lang, Hudson, Superfine, PRPS, Rag & Bone, J Brand, Levis Made + Crafted, Resin, Gilded Age, Genetic, RRL and more) also just launched a “We Like Your Denim Style!” contest. It’s asking people to show their best denim looks for the opportunity to win a $500 Barneys New York gift card. There’s no purchase necessary to win. It’s open to both men and women. Just upload an image of yourself in your best denim look. Go to Barneys.com/denimstyle for more details or sign up for Facebook to connect with Barneys New York. The five denim looks deemed the coolest by Barneys’ fashion directors Julie Gilhart and Tomoko Ogura will each win a $500 gift card. Five winners will be notified by September 14, 2010.

And here’s some real dish: Atlanta’s sweetheart Jenn Hobby of Q100 Atlanta just shopped it up at Barneys CO-OP this past weekend for her appearance on Live! With Regis & Kelly this Friday, Aug. 20, at 9 a.m. and CNN’s Showbiz Tonight Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m. giving Hollywood scoop.

Jenn is one of four lucky finalists selected to fill in for Ripa for day as part of the Women of Radio CO-host for a day search. While she’s already prepped to interview Melissa Joan Hart and Hayden Christensen, deciding what to wear is a whole different story. Enlisting the help of acclaimed stylist and personal shopper Robanne Shulman of Plaid Monkey, Jenn hit Barneys Co-Op Atlanta in Phipps Plaza this weekend to find the perfect look. After a day of trying on numerous ensembles, Jenn chose four TV-ready outfits including a beautiful turquoise L’Agence Dress paired with a black leather ALC belt and a stunning black Helmut Lang dress. Robanne and Barneys Co-Op also outfitted Jenn with two casual looks; an Etoile Isabel Marant’s multicolored zigzag crochet-knit top paired a khaki Rag & Bone blazer and Citizen of Humanity jeans and a charcoal Vince top and black skinny jeans.
