And the Winners Are… a Recap of the AGLCC Community Awards Dinner

On Friday night, I had the distinct honor of attending the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce 2010 Community Awards Dinner at the W-Atlanta Midtown hosted by the extraordinarily talented Tom Sullivan.

For more than 15 years, AGLCC has been a strong advocate for the growth and development of the LGBT community and its allies. The nonprofit organization’s mission is creating advocacy through economics, which enables businesses to have a voice as LGBT-owned or LGBT-friendly.

Every year, the organization gathers for a glitzy night of celebration. This particular awards dinner was buzzing with camaraderie and excitement as its members waited to see who would be honored for their commitment to business, community service and advocacy. In addition to a seated dinner, attendees were also treated to a silent auction to raise money for AGLCC, as well as live musical performances.
