Shopping has changed for the better in Atlanta. When Bill Hallman and Peroni teamed up to hand out beers to browsing customers last year, a genius movement was born (not to mention a killer marketing scheme for the Italian brewery). If your guests are smart enough to shop in your store, why shouldn’t you trust that they’re smart enough not to spill on your wares? So goes it with music producer Jazze Pha, Ryan Glover (from RyanKenny clothing), and Tamara Knetchel, who plan to serve cappucino and champagne at their Atlantic Station boutique Knitch (19th & Market Sts., adjacent to Fox Sports Grill), opening to the public on Fri., Nov. 17. Don’t worry about having to hold your cup or glass while shopping though—you can enjoy your libations as you perch on ostrich benches in the women’s lounge while the gentlemen will feel at ease reclining in their own handsome java leather club chairs. The specialty shop offers couture denim for men and women, The Jeans Shop, Marc Jacobs, Adam + Eve, Chip & Pepper, Evisu, Yoshi Yamamoto, Tracy Reese, Catherine Malandrino, J. Lindeberg and, of course, one-of-a-kind RyanKenny pieces, and footwear selected by Jazze Pha, Knitch’s Head Sneaker Pimp, part owner, and longtime friend of Glover’s. Psst, RyanKenny is a favored designer by Falcons’ players Michael Vick and Warrick Dunn, so you never know who you might bump into.
