One of my new favorite destinations for fresh fish and fantastic old-fashioned good service, C&S Seafood & Oyster Bar (3240 Cobb Parkway, Atlanta, Ga., 770.272.0999) is celebrating its third anniversary this week (now through Sunday, June 13) with a special three-course menu highlighting menu favorites from the past three years. The best part? It’s just $30!
The Parisian bistro’s take: “We’ve survived the recession by offering Atlantans three things for each of the three years of our existence: first, bringing one of Atlanta’s top culinary experiences to Cobb County for the first time; second, by showing the South the essence of the New York chophouse and the Parisian bistro; and third, by providing an upscale and yet down-to-earth sanctuary from the grind for our regulars who have helped to make our establishment a destination. To celebrate, we’re offering a special three-course menu with favorite selections from each of the three years we’ve been in business during our anniversary week.
From our first year, choose classic seared scallops for an app, seared salmon with haricots vert and béarnaise sauce as an entrée and our rich chocolate fondant cake for dessert. Our second-year selections include a beefsteak tomato and bleu cheese salad with fresh basil and onion, the roasted halibut with sunchokes, confit mushrooms and spring corn sauce and the warm apple tarte. We grew more adventurous in our third year, with favorites including a hoisin-braised pork belly appetizer with Chinese mustard and Asian ginger greens, our panko-crusted flounder with truffled Caesar salad with asparagus and, for dessert, our warm bread pudding with bourbon anglaise. Relive your favorite year here or mix it up—it’s your choice.” The regular menu also will be available.
