This month, Westside Atlanta’s unique home furnishings store, Room & Board, is participating in three exciting events that bring food, wine, fine art and modern design to the table while supporting community ties and local charities. Atlanta’s distinguished three-level, 34,000-square-foot-store for home décor and design will showcase timeless items and hot trends at the Westside Provisions District Wine Walk, The Atlanta Arts Festival and the inaugural Midtown Festival of the Arts.
Throughout these series of events, Room & Board will feature works from the marvelous 103-year-old Eva Zeisel, internationally acclaimed artist and contemporary design legend, who collaborated with New York City design studio KleinReid to create a series of limited-edition silkscreens called Lovers’ Suite exclusively for Room & Board. The prints are hand-signed and numbered by Zeisel, featuring abstract symmetrical swan, tulip and wing motifs with her signature curved shapes in four colorways. Born in Budapest in 1906, Zeisel’s works are in the permanent collections of Brohan Museum in Germany, the British Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London and The Museum of Modern Art in New York among others. She has lectured widely and had retrospective exhibitions in dozens of museums in the U.S. and abroad.
