His name was Lola…

Ok, we may not know that much about Cinco de Mayo, Mexico, or be able to pronounce Oaxaca, but we do know tequila, enchiladas, and now Alejandro Carlín. This kick-ass fashion designer behind the Mexican-based Lola de Alejandro clothing has been gracing the pages of fashion magazines, catwalks, high-end boutiques, and stars since late 2003. Now before you start singing Copacabana and twirling around the room (Lola, get it?), let us tell you a little more about this muy calienté line!

A luxury fashion icon in Mexico, Alejandro Carlín is plowing through the border, and is picking up steam with each new collection that he launches. He introduced his fall line La Libération de Fée line at Fashion Week Mexico, which consists of satin fabrics that exude luxe fashion in an easygoing style. And forget about those friend-of-ana models; Carlín has broken barriers in more ways than one by using curvaceous models to show off his ultra-feminine threads…and we’re loving it!

Bull-fighter chic meets red-carpet elegance as Carlín combines modern designs with avant-garde cuts. Cinched pants, gorgeous gowns, structured jackets, and asymmetrical skirts are accented with ruffles, bows, and lace in gray tones, black, and white. Carlín made each look pop with bright red pumps sure to capture everyone’s eye. Here are a few of our faves from La Libération de Fée that caught our eye.

•Get ScarJo fabulous in this pure white satin gown. Its understated elegance is paired with sex appeal and makes it perfect for any red carpet celebration…or any celebration for that matter.

•Lace, satin, and cutouts…oh my! Hugging in all the right places, this number goes far beyond any little black dress. Stun the crowd with the high neck, bare back, tight fit, and lace underlay.

•Take the plunge with this deep v-neck shirt with ruched sleeves. Paired with a sailor-esque pencil skirt accented with ruffles and buttons and topped with his signature red pumps, this look is muy calienté!

•Channel your inner Madonna circa Evita with this chic look. A sexy black satin deep v-neck shirt complements a cream pencil skirt detailed with pleats creating a one-of-a-kind look.

•Be the hottest matador this side of the border with this sleek look. Tight, ruched, high-waisted satin pants are paired with a three-quarter structured jacket and scarf. This is one hot look, and that’s no bull!
